But if you drink a milk coffee, you are directly at 33 kcal per 100 ml if you prepare it with low-fat milk.
How many calories are there in a cappuccino?
The cappuccino and the latte macchiato each have 48 kcal. That’s more than most juices or soft drinks contain. If you then prepare this with whole milk, you are directly at 64 kcal. In addition, every teaspoon of sugar adds 16 calories, so that you can quickly consume over 200 calories with a normal latte macchiato or a large cappuccino. For comparison: that is almost 10% of the daily nutritional requirement.
If you also like to drink coffee from large chains with different toppings, syrups, or cream, you will quickly notice which calorie bombs the different coffee drinks can be. A caramel frappucino, for example, already has 450 calories – as many as a small meal.
How can you still enjoy coffee without counting calories?
You don’t necessarily have to cut coffee out of your life completely or just drink black coffee if you pay attention to your figure. With a few tricks and twists, you can still enjoy your coffee specialty without breaking the calories.
One of the biggest points in the calorie trap is milk. Thanks to the fat and lactose, it gives the coffee a special taste, but also massively increases the nutritional value. Here you can save calories by using skimmed milk with 0.1% fat or almond milk.
Almond milk is highly recommended as it has only 24 calories, is lactose-free, and gives the coffee a slight nutty tone. Hazelnut milk with 29 calories can also be used for coffee and give the coffee a little aftertaste of the popular nut.
Drink coffee without sugar
Nowadays sugar is criticized from all sides. It has a lot of calories, is highly processed, and is said to be the trigger for many diseases. But for many, coffee is simply too bitter without sugar. But here, too, you can use alternatives to lower the calories in coffee.

If you want to lose weight, you can definitely rely on the support of coffee. The caffeine in coffee stimulates the central nervous system and thus stimulates metabolism and fat burning. It also works as an appetite suppressant and can help you eat less.
However, many say that they don’t like black coffee, without milk or sugar, because of the bitter substances. This then does not necessarily have to do with the fussy taste, but with the actual coffee.
Drinking diet-friendly coffee without sacrificing the taste
